The Role

Within the Growth function, the Development Manager takes full responsibility for a portfolio of large projects mainly consisting of ground or floating power plants, agrivoltaism, photovoltaic car parks or large roofs. the Development Manager is responsible for all steps from first steps of development to ready-to-build. The Development Manager is supported by a development assistant within the team and strong internal skills for the various support teams: design office, asset managers, financial analysts, legal counsel, Operations & Maintenance.

The main tasks include project design and authorisation, local consultation to obtain favourable resolutions from municipal or inter-communal councils, framing the project with all the influential players in the area to obtain authorisations: State services, local authorities, local associations; consulting and managing external service providers: The Development Manager is responsible for the preparation, submission and follow-up of applications for authorisations, and the responsibility for the "PTF" applications to the network operator. The Development Manager is responsible for the economic security of the project: financial modelling, proposal for the electricity sales tariff, preparation and submission of applications for the CRE calls for tenders or negotiation of the direct sales contract with an off-taker. The Development Manager is also responsible for the origination of certain projects: based on opportunities that they have detected directly (near the sites under development or through their own network), they qualify potential sites by contacting the owner and, if necessary, undertake a feasibility study and negotiate the terms of the lease agreement and then sign it.

Desirable Skills : - 5 years of higher education in urban planning, environment, or engineering

  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and experience in project development in the field of renewable energies in France
  • Interpersonal and negotiation skills; Autonomy, motivation, organization, and rigor
  • Fluency in French and English;
  • Driver's license required.
