Senior Origination Manager

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Senior Origination Manager to join our growing team. Reporting to the Head of Origination, you'll play a pivotal role in driving Good Energy's (Corporate Power Purchase Agreements (CPPAs) growth and new innovations. This is a unique opportunity to help scale our renewable energy buying to a level the business has never seen before, sourcing and contracting energy and certificates from a diverse range of UK renewable projects.

You'll lead on sourcing, structuring and closing complex PPAs and Corporate PPAs. You'll be at the forefront of Good Energy's mission to deliver innovative commercial solutions for renewable generators and corporate clients. You'll be focusing on longer-term, high-impact agreements and managing all parts of this process from product development to contract negotiations with some of our future core origination partners.

Responsibilities

• Deal origination & negotiation: Lead the sourcing, origination, and negotiation of bespoke renewable and Corporate PPA contracts.
• Innovative deal structuring: Develop and deliver innovative commercial structures, including physical and virtual CPPAs, CfD-linked PPAs, Flex PPAs, and PPAs for private wire projects.
• Relationship management: Build and maintain trusted relationships with developers and corporate clients, collaborating with internal teams to deliver commercially robust agreements.
• Market insight: Identify emerging market trends and help shape Good Energy's future PPA offerings.
• Sales alignment: Partner with the B2B sales team to ensure PPA and sales strategies are aligned for maximum impact.
• Marketing collaboration: Work with the marketing team to support the PPA business through targeted communications and events.
• Industry engagement: Represent Good Energy across the UK renewables sector, building our presence and driving market growth.

Essentials

• Proven track record in managing complex Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) negotiations.
• Skilled in structuring Corporate PPAs and bespoke renewable offtake deals.
• Experienced in leading high-value commercial negotiations within the UK energy sector.
• In-depth knowledge of PPAs, CfDs, ROCs, REGOs and the UK wholesale market.
• Strong commercial acumen, analytical mindset and exceptional negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Confident using CRM tools and data-driven origination reporting.
• Thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
• Passionate about renewable energy and driving positive environmental impact.
