In your new position as Project Buyer in the Renewables Division, you will be a valuable member of the dedicated global procurement team whose mission is to deliver strategic and operational procurement support to large offshore substation projects worldwide.
You will have a key role in ensuring project success through implementing efficient procurement practices. Not only will this role be a unique chance for you to develop your purchasing skills in a large-scale project environment, but your work will also make a meaningful impact towards meeting the world's increasing energy demand.

Your tasks & responsibilities

As a Project Buyer, your key responsibility is to provide procurement support through effective communication and coordination with project team members both internally and externally.

Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

• Converting purchase requisitions to purchase orders through the Requisition-to-Pay process.
• Documenting all communications between Semco Maritime, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients in a methodical and well-organized manner.
• Expediting orders and ensuring that invoices are accurately matched prior to payment.
• Proactively identifying and managing any supply risks that may arise from the supply chain.
• Ensuring that the procurement process adheres to proper document templates.
• Receiving, registering, storing, and distributing all procurement-related documents and correspondence in the appropriate systems.
• Providing assistance to the Purchasing Manager.

Your profile & qualifications

We are looking for a self-motivated buyer with a high drive and the ability to work in a fast-paced project organisation. You possess a profound service-mindset and thrive in an environment where you have daily communication with many stakeholders.

To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:

• A relevant educational background
• Experience with operational buying - preferable in project business
• Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
• Flexiblity & willingness to support
• Fluency in English, verbal and written
• ERP systems knowledge - IFS preferably
