Senior Accountant (m/w/d)

Job Description

At Voltalia we are passionate about renewable energies! We are an electricity producer from wind, solar, hydro, biomass and storage and also a service provider to 3rd party clients such as Development, EPC, O&M and Distribution. Today we are in 20 countries, split among 4 continents, and offering a global operating capacity to our clients. We are listed on the regulated Euronext market in Paris since July 2014.

Our Finance & Administration Business Line is looking for a Senior Accountant (IRL Market), who will have the following responsibilities:

Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
• Support external audits by preparing relevant documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations (VAT, RCT, payroll taxes, corporate tax) and assist with tax filings.

Accounts Payable (AP)

• Ensure proper accounts payable cycle, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments proposals.
• Manage vendor relationships, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with agreed payment terms.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any outstanding issues as is for analysis “Goods receipt/Invoice Receipt”.

Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Ensure that invoices are prepared and sent to customers in a timely and accurate manner, based on sales orders and contracts; Monitor customer accounts to ensure that payments are correctly applied and received in a timely fashion.

Other Financial & Operational Duties

• Support the implementation of financial controls and process improvements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure finance best practices are followed, as well external stakeholders meaning tax consultants.
• Maintain proper documentation and record-keeping for compliance and audit purposes.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting.
• At least 5 years of experience in Accounting and accounts payable.
• Accounting knowledge (preferably in International Accounting Standards – IFRS).
• International experience will be a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office, with MS Excel and MS Word domain.
• English proficiency (mandatory).
