Job Description

Peak Energy is a clean energy platform that develops, finances, builds, and operates utility-scale solar, rooftop generation, onshore wind, and battery storage solutions across Asia-Pacific. As a fast-growing scale-up, Peak combines the experience of leaders from TotalEnergies, Vestas, Cleantech Energy, and other leading industry players with the agility and pace of an entrepreneurial business.

With more than 300 MW of operating assets and 1 GW of projects in development across Japan, Korea, Australia, Taiwan, the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, and Indonesia, Peak is building one of the region's most dynamic renewable energy platforms. Greenfield development remains at the heart of the business, complemented by flexible partnerships with industrials, developers, and investors to accelerate delivery and scale impact.

Peak brings together the customer focus of a developer, the technical expertise of an EPC, and the financial strength of a leading infrastructure investor. The company is wholly owned by Stonepeak, one of the world's largest alternative investment firms specializing in infrastructure and real assets, with more than USD 80 billion in assets under management. This combination of financial backing, technical depth, and local market relationships allows Peak to deploy capital with discipline and deliver high-quality clean energy solutions at scale. Let's partner together to support your sustainability journey.

The Opportunity

  • A chance to build and lead the digital backbone of one of Asia-Pacific's most dynamic clean energy platform.
  • A highly visible leadership role partnering directly with the COO and senior team as Peak scales across markets, technologies, and operating complex.
  • An opportunity to shape how technology, cybersecurity, data, and AI enable growth, resilience, and better decision-making across the business.

Role Summary

The Head of IT is Peak Energy's senior technology executive, responsible for defining and executing a secure, scalable, and high-performance digital environment across the company. Reporting to the COO, this role leads enterprise technology strategy, cybersecurity, infrastructure, systems, data, and AI - ensuring that technology supports operational excellence, financial discipline, and rapid regional expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technology strategy and architecture: Define and execute a multi-year IT strategy aligned with Peak's growth trajectory, risk profile, and multi-country operating model; establish fit-for-purpose enterprise architecture across cloud, networks, identity, data, and applications.
  • Cybersecurity and resilience: Own Peak's cybersecurity strategy, including policies, monitoring, incident response, disaster recovery, business continuity, vendor risk, and compliance with data privacy and local regulatory requirements.
  • Infrastructure and operations: Build a reliable, scalable digital foundation across infrastructure, collaboration tools, endpoints, and support services to enable efficient operations across time zones and markets.
  • Enterprise systems and data: Lead the selection, implementation, and optimization of enterprise systems and data practices that improve visibility, control, and execution across finance, operations, HR, and project delivery.
  • AI and automation: Develop a practical AI roadmap, identify high-value use cases, and guide responsible adoption of AI-enabled tools that unlock measurable productivity and insight.
  • Leadership and stakeholder partnership: Partner closely with the leadership team to ensure technology investment supports commercial ambition and disciplined scale, while building the processes, governance, and team capability needed for long-term success.
  • Vendor and budget management: Oversee IT budgets, procurement, contracts, and external partners across multiple countries, ensuring strong value, service quality, and alignment with Peak's standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including responsibility for enterprise technology environments in complex or high-growth organizations.
  • Strong experience across cybersecurity, cloud architecture, infrastructure, enterprise systems, and data governance.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and scale technology environments across multiple countries, business units, or operating entities.
  • Track record of translating technology investment into business value, ideally in infrastructure, energy, industrial, or similarly complex operating environments.
  • Practical understanding of AI, automation, and digital tools, with the judgment to prioritize high-impact use cases responsibly.
  • Commercially aware, operationally rigorous, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving, scale-up environment.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with credibility at executive level and the ability to work effectively across functions and geographies.

A successful candidate will demonstrate

  • Strategic and hands-on: able to set direction while also building practical capability in a fast-moving environment.
  • Security-first: understands cybersecurity as a core business risk and operational priority.
  • AI-literate and pragmatic: knows where AI can create real value and how to deploy it responsibly.
  • Operationally rigorous: builds systems and processes that are reliable, scalable, and resilient across markets.
  • Collaborative and commercially minded: partners effectively with operations, finance, HR, development, and leadership to support business outcomes.
  • Resourceful and adaptable: comfortable operating with pace, ambiguity, and the realities of building in diverse markets.

Why Join Peak Energy

  • Shape a critical function at an inflection point in Peak's growth.
