Job Description
OX2’s purpose is to accelerate access to renewable energy. We are a leading multi-technology renewables player in Europe and Australia with >20 year track record, currently shifting our business model towards a hybrid Independent Power Producer (IPP). We focus on large-scale energy solutions across several technologies with a clear leadership position in onshore wind and a rapidly growing portfolio in solar and energy storage.
We manage the entire value chain – from acquisition of project rights to greenfield development, permit application process, financial close, procurement, construction, technical and commercial management and operations.
Team and Position
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Investment Asset Manager to join our Asset Management team where you will play a pivotal role in delivering on the strategic ambition to become a hybrid IPP
Your role will be to take ownership of OX2’s Investments, post the Final Investment Decision. The main responsibility will be to manage the delivery and performance of the investments, mitigating risks, and contribute to optimization initiatives throughout the construction and operational phase. You will be managing the project teams responsible for delivering the investments and will be collaborating with many internal and external stakeholders spanning technical, commercial and financial topics and be responsible for reporting progress and performance of the investment to senior management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall Investments through the construction and operational phase
- Driving value enhancement initiatives to optimize operational, technical, and financial performance in the construction and operational phase
- Organize the project teams and functions to ensure efficient collaboration and successful project execution
- Secure a comprehensive 360 view of the project value chain and manage the prioritization accordingly
- Providing detailed analysis with a focus on risk mitigation and value creation
- Preparing decision material for steering committees and senior management
- Negotiate and manage contracts relating to construction, and operations of the assets (e.g., EPC, CMA, SHA, offtake agreements, and O&M contracts)
- Working with and managing internal and external advisors and partners, including legal, financial, and technical
- Support implementation of best-in-class management and reporting of operational assets to facilitate strategic recommendations
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in investment/asset management or project management within the energy or infrastructure sector.
- Clear demonstration and track record of successful project execution
- Strong understanding of renewable energy project economics, valuation methodologies, and financing structures.
- Proven experience in leading and managing teams in a high-performance environment.
- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable:
- Experience working within an IPP, utility, investment bank, or financial advisory firm focused on energy.
- Familiarity with power purchase agreements (PPAs), project financing, regulatory frameworks, and energy market dynamics.
- Knowledge of M&A transactions and corporate finance within the renewable energy sector.
