We've made good progress on the UK's path to net zero. But we can do better. Research shows that 100% renewable energy tariffs aren't actually making the grid greener. We have to go further. We need to save energy, use power at smarter times of the day and look at other ways to help our customers reduce their carbon footprint.

That's where OVO Drive comes in, it's our dedicated electric vehicle business. We already provide hardware installations, home & public charging but we want so much more, we want to build a single app experience that covers everything an EV driver could need this role will play a huge part in that.

We work like a start up- using our entrepreneurial, OVO Way spirit to drive us forward. And we'll be flexible about how we do it - trying new things, growing the ones that work and learning new, green skills as we go.

This role in a nutshell

As a Product Manager in the OVO Drive department this role will contribute to the product vision and roadmap of the various products in OVO's Drive department.

Your role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and ensuring alignment between business goals and customer needs.

By leveraging market knowledge, data, and customer feedback, you will identify product-market fit, shape new product opportunities, and deliver high-value product increments.

Your key outcomes will be

• Participate in the development of the strategic long-term product vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and customer needs.
• Proactively contribute to the management and prioritisation of complex product backlogs, ensuring alignment between customer expectations, business strategy, and efficient development processes.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across diverse stakeholder groups (including development, marketing, sales).
• Conduct in-depth data analysis and market research to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, using these insights to develop and communicate data-driven product strategies.
• Lead backlog refinement sessions, ensuring user stories are well-defined, prioritised, and include clear acceptance criteria for the development team.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform product strategy and proactively identify new, innovative product opportunities.
• Ensure effective participation in the team's ways of working to maintain a focused and collaborative team environment.

You'll be a successful Product Manager here at OVO if you have...

• Ability to think strategically, demonstrate strong business acumen, and translate complex objectives into a cohesive product roadmap.
• Expert knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and advanced skills in product roadmap and complex backlog management.
• Data analysis and market research skills to drive strategic product decisions, coupled with strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills to align diverse stakeholders and support cross-functional collaboration.
• Highly adaptable, proactive, and results-oriented, thriving in a dynamic Agile environment and committed to continuous improvement and innovation.

We'll pay you between ??55,660 and ??70,000, depending on your specific skills and experience.

We keep our pay ranges broad on purpose to give us, and you, flexibility to match your experience to our zero carbon mission.

You'll be eligible for an on-target bonus of 15%. We have one OVO bonus plan that focuses on the collective performance of our people to deliver our Plan Zero goal.
