About the role
Situated at our Mt Beauty office in the Victorian Alpine Region, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Warehouse Coordinator.
Mt. Beauty offers access to outstanding winter and summer sports such as skiing and mountain biking along with quality educational and health infrastructure. The region surrounded by the picturesque Alpine National Park offers a lifestyle that is appealing to both individuals and families.
This role will play a key part in setting up and delivering a modern inventory management system for our Hydro assets. You will be responsible for of cataloguing of materials into SAP, assisting with the creation of Bills of Materials, rationalising, inventory kept at remote sites, consolidating inventory in a central warehouse location.
What you’ll be doing
- Drive safe and efficient warehousing operations.
- Effectively perform the day-to-day functions of warehouse operations to service stakeholders to achieve site operational objectives.
- Manage the Supply Chain functions associated with deliveries, receipting, material handling and storage, issue and cycle counting of all materials within site operation.
- Organising and coordinating local and interstate freight consignments for dispatch & transport.
- Provide procurement / purchasing support to the Purchasing Officer for both ‘Direct’ – related to stock inventory and ‘Indirect’ – non-stock inventory materials.
What you’ll bring to the table
- Demonstrated practical knowledge of SAP (or similar software) Cataloguing, Warehouse Inventory and Purchasing processes and procedures are highly desired.
- Ability to work flexibly and manage competing priorities efficiently and effectively.
- A working knowledge of system processes relating to Warehousing / Supply Chain, Inventory Management and Procurement in a large industrial operation.
- High level of customer service and communicative skills to effectively develop relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
- Proficient computing skills in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of Health Safety and Environmental requirements around an industrial site.
- A License to operate a forklift and other associated stores equipment safely and effectively is advantageous, however not essential.
