We are looking for a Sales Manager, Shaft Line Solution with a main responsibility in commercial and naval marine business in Sweden, Finland and Poland for the Shaft Line Solutions (SLS) portfolio. The preferred location for this position is Sweden, Gothenborg but also Vaasa or Helsinki, Finland is a negotiable location. We offer a possibility to hybrid or remote work.
Your role and responsibilities
As a Sales Manager, Shaft Line Solutions you will focus on driving sales and expanding market share for the Wärtsilä SLS portfolio across Sweden, Finland, and Poland. You'll be working as a part of North Europe team with diverse expertise, and your success will be measured by: Order Intake, Net Sales and Profitability, KPI's set by Regional Manager, Sales and KPI's set by SLS-Management.
Your responsibilities include
- Proactive customer interfacing to generate leads and sales opportunities.
- Increase market share of SLS portfolio.
- Manage opportunity pipeline and customer visits in CRM.
- Update and follow up feedback from customers in Sweden, Finland and Poland.
- Build and develop customer relationships in Sweden, Finland and Poland with ship owners, ship managers, ship designers, shipyards, OEM's, Navy and marine agencies.
- Actively engage with other (global) functions and team members to capture opportunities.
- Ensure quality of contracts are in line with Wärtsilä policies.
- Customer communication and support for running projects in cooperation with Sales Support Team.
- Business intelligence and knowledge of the Region.
- To grow New build, Spare Parts sales, upgrades & retrofits for all Wartsila SLS portfolio.
In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 50%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
Requirements for the position
- Naval Architect, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering degree or at least 5 years' work experience in the relevant area. Previous experience from a direct sales role within the Marine Industry will be an advantage.
- Deep knowledge of the Marine Industry and Wärtsilä products (preferably SLS products or propulsion systems).
- A track record in building strong customer relationships that enhance customer experience.
- Clear demonstrable experience of sales negotiation.
- Proficiency in the MS office package and CRM systems.
- Willingness to travel intensively internationally to meet customers.
- Fluency in the English language, both verbal and written.
