Job Description

To sustain our continuous growth, 3E is looking for a Junior Wind Engineer to join the team!

In this role you will be working in a dynamic team of experts who will be your continuous sounding board while you serve the needs of our customers.

Your main responsibilities will be to carry out energy yield assessment studies to assess the potential production/revenues of wind farm projects under development or reaching Financial Close, as well as other technical assessments and simulations.

In a nutshell:

  • You will ensure a good quality control and analysis of wind measurements
  • You will perform long-term energy yield calculations, using WindPRO and internal tools & processes.
  • You will analyse operational data from wind farms under operations using your Python skills.
  • You will analyse the results and produce client reports.
  • Occasionally, you will go on site to visually inspect measurement device and/or wind turbines.
  • Over time, you will also start interacting directly with customers to answer their technical questions.

At first you will work on a project managed by one of your and gradually you will be taking the role of project manager yourself.

Requirements

We are looking for a motivated and open-minded colleague who is eager to learn, and who can bring an open and flexible mindset.

Of course, there are some non-negotiables:

  • You hold a Master's degree in Engineering - young graduates welcome!
  • You have a basic knowledge of wind energy gained through relevant classes, an internship, or a first work experience in the industry.
  • You are comfortable working with data and have hands-on experience with analysis techniques using Python.
  • You show a strong interest in renewable energies, and this reflects in your way of life.
  • You demonstrate strong organisation and communication skills; you are stress-resistant, solution-oriented, and able to handle several projects simultaneously.
  • You are fluent in English.

Bonus points for:

  • German & additional languages
  • Available for short trips abroad (for measurement device commissioning or wind turbine inspections).
  • Familiar with WAsP, WindPRO, Meteodyn, GIS tools.
