Electromechanical Design Engineer

Responsibilities

1. Support and review the mechanical / electromechanical design of energy storage products, including:
   1. Completing and optimizing welded steel structural designs using design software based on system architecture integration requirements
   2. Designing cable and conduit routing for electrical systems and selecting and specifying associated components (must have understanding of electrical conduits and cabling systems)
   3. Desiging and populating electrical enclosures (including modeling devices on backpanels)
   4. Providing designs for coolant piping routing and pipe supporting (must have understanding of piping system components)
2. Assist in conducting structural mechanics simulations to optimize structural performance.
3. Facilitate design reviews for energy storage systems, ensuring cost-effective and manufacturable solutions.
4. Involved in the analysis and provides advice on critical issues during prototype & production stage.
5. Perform other assigned tasks.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's in science of mechanical engineering or a related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in mechanical structural design of energy systems equipment, proficient in PTC Creo design software and capable of performing load calculations or basic mechanical simulations by hand.
3. Prior experience (3+ years) in sheet metal engineering, structural steel, and welding for medium-to-large products
4. Prior experience with electromechanical design (cabling/conduit systems, electrical enclosures)
5. Candidates with 3+ years of experience in design for large-scale containerized ESS and applicable industry standards will be prioritized.
6. Proficient in English (reading, writing, listening, and speaking).
