We are looking for a Senior Project Manager for Australia's largest Wind Energy Project!

The reason for this role is

The Senior Project Manager is accountable to the Portfolio Delivery Manager for the delivery of one or more of Goldwind Australia's projects including supervision and management of assigned staff and management of the matrix structure to deliver the project. The Senior Project Manager will act as the Goldwind Australia Senior Representative on the assigned project/s.

What will you be doing?

  • Complete Goldwind Australia's projects within prescribed targets for cost, time and quality.
  • Enhance Goldwind Australia's reputation as a wind turbine supplier and wind farm developer and constructor.
  • Visibly lead and ensure compliance with the quality, environment, health and safety requirements.
  • Supervise and manage assigned staff, including those working on other projects and those without direct reporting lines due to company matrix structure.
  • Assist the Portfolio Delivery Manager and PMO Department in the management of the department and the establishment of Project systems.

What does your background look like?

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Training in Contract Management or Project Management.
  • Experience leading, developing and managing teams.
  • Wind industry, Power industry or Construction Industry experience desired.
  • minimum 10-15 years as a Project Manager or similar role.
  • Management of Contracts and Consultancy Agreements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Negotiation skills and ability to relate to diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Understanding of contracts, schedules, documentation management, financial administration and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly.
  • Good knowledge of Project Office systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in an Australia/China cross cultural environment.
  • Potential requirements to relocate to project sites for extended periods of time depending on customer and specific project requirements.
  • Frequent Travel - regional, interstate and overseas.
