Job Description

The Sourcing Manager is responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services for Silfab Solar. This position is critical in maintaining a reliable supply chain to support our solar manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to identify and qualify suppliers for a wide range of materials and services.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations and performance reviews to ensure compliance with quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable terms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand sourcing needs, forecast demand, and align sourcing strategies with production requirements.
  • Track global and domestic trends in key commodities, including commodity index tracking, regulatory impacts, and sustainability factors.
  • Work with both existing and new vendors to ensure alignment with quality, capacity, and productivity expectations.
  • Identify and qualify alternative suppliers to enhance supply chain flexibility and resilience.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration and mutual success.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, ethical sourcing standards, and environmental regulations.
