Department Overview

NPI Automation team designs and builds "Proof of Concept" tools for Engineering and Manufacturing. Anything from simple mechanical fixtures to semi-automated vision systems to fully automated robotic workstations.

Position Responsibilities

  • Documents design - electrical schematics, wiring/cabling diagrams, I/O list. AutoCAD/ DraftSight preferred.
  • Troubleshooting complex automated equipment consists of Allen Bradley PLC, Keyence Vision system, Sensors, and actuators.
  • Hands on in wiring electrical control panel.
  • Configure and setup sensors - no contact displacement sensor, contact switch, IO-Link devices/ smart sensors.
  • Learn and implement basic to intermediate machine vision applications using Cognex / Keyence smart camera.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently a student earning a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automatic Controls or a related discipline.
  • Must be graduating between spring 2026 and August 2027

Desired Qualifications

  • Proficient in electrical schematics.
  • Understanding Fundamental about automated control system/ equipment, sensors, actuators, Electrical safety, Panel design
  • Hands-on electrical engineer who likes figuring out and solve technical problems.
  • Collaborator: collaborate with Sr. Engineers and technicians to meet project objective.

Bloom Energy is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The total compensation for this position is based on various factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience.

The pay range for this position $36 - $50 per hour.

Salary Ranges:

$45.75 - $50.00
