Let's work together to successfully implement the energy transition. To this end, we are looking for an Associate Due Diligence International (m/w/d) throughout Germany, to ensure the project quality of international wind, solar, and battery storage projects by means of internal project reviews.
Your contribution to the energy transition
- You conduct internal legal, commercial, and technical due diligence reviews of projects.
- You support the preparation and execution of acquisition, sale, and financing processes, as well as activities in the post-closing phase.
- You identify legal, commercial, and technical risks at an early stage and mitigate them in collaboration with international project managers and project developers of the subsidiaries.
- You establish country-specific tools, processes, and templates in cooperation with the Project Management Office (PMO).
- You advise your project team and share your expertise on the requirements of banks and investors.
- You review project documentation and contracts and initiate necessary changes and the allocation of risks to the relevant parties.
- You monitor compliance with quality standards and deadlines in project development and initiate timely escalation in the event of deviations.
- You prepare analyses and decision papers for management and stakeholders.
- You identify interfaces and ensure smooth collaboration with interface partners.
In addition to your energy, you have the following qualifications
- University or technical college degree with a focus on business administration, planning, law, or a comparable field of study.
- Knowledge of contract law, project planning and licensing, quality management, energy regulation and technical and legal due diligence reports.
- Understanding of project development in the renewable energy sector (technical, commercial, legal).
- Experience in reviewing wind, solar and BESS projects and understanding of banking and investor requirements.
- Structured and detailed oriented approach to work, strong communication, assertiveness and problem solving skills, quick comprehension, effective work with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in using MS Office.
- Confident use of internal project management tools and virtual data rooms.
- Professional proficiency in English, German and/or other languages are an advantage.
