Job Description

Fuse is on a mission to revolutionise the renewable energy industry by building a terawatt of clean energy to power the world. With over $78 million raised from top-tier investors like Balderton, Lakestar, Accel, Creandum, Lowercarbon, and Ribbit, Fuse is poised for rapid expansion. Our leadership includes founders Alan Chang, former CRO of Revolut, and Charles Orr, former strategy lead at Revolut and investor at Mosaic Ventures. As we expand our operations within the UK, we are looking to launch and aggressively grow our commercial solar PV installation segment.

Responsibilities

As the first dedicated electrician for our new commercial solar PV division, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our business. This role requires a professional with extensive experience in the C&I solar industry, with an existing network of industry contacts. You will be tasked with building this business line from the ground up, as well as the day-to-day running of projects.

  • Project Management: Oversee projects from conception to completion, ensuring they adhere to timelines, specifications, and budgets. Manage all phases of project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.
  • Technical Design: Design optimised commercial solar installations, across rooftops, car ports and other structures. Utilise tools like PVSyst to optimise project yield.
  • Grid: Prepare and submit G99 applications to the relevant network authority, and manage the connections process.
  • Business Development and Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to establish and expand the commercial solar PV business. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships and collaborations within the industry.
  • Financial and Operational Management: Perform financial modelling for project feasibility, investments, and M&A activities. Manage contracts and negotiations with suppliers and contractors.

Requirements

  • Experience in C&I solar design & project management, with an electrical background.
  • Experience in grid connections
  • Electrical certifications (Level 3, etc) looked on favourably
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Track record of successfully deployed commercial projects, 100kW+
  • Able to cover the entire UK
