Your main responsibilities are

  • Perform incoming inspection for machined metal parts, casting blanks, and other mechanical components according to technical drawings, specifications, and inspection plans.
  • Conduct dimensional measurement using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM (if applicable), and other precision instruments.
  • Verify material certificates, heat treatment records, and supplier documentation to ensure compliance.
  • Execute visual inspection for machining defects, casting defects, surface conditions, and structural abnormalities.
  • Support external inspections at suppliers' sites when required (machining suppliers, foundries, fabrication workshops).
  • Record inspection results accurately in the quality system and handle NCR initiation and follow‑up.
  • Communicate issues with suppliers and internal SQE/engineering teams to drive corrections and improvements.
  • Participate in inspection process optimization, sampling improvements, and tooling/jig evaluation.

You will shine in this role when you have

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in mechanical parts inspection, especially machining and/or casting parts.
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes (turning, milling, drilling, grinding) and casting processes (sand casting, investment casting, or die casting).
  • Familiarity with common defects of machined parts and casting parts, and their root causes.
  • Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, GD&T, tolerances, and BOMs.
  • Skilled in using dimensional measurement and precision inspection tools.
  • Experience with NCR handling, supplier communication, and incoming quality control is preferred.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities; strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.

Additional Advantages (Nice to have)

  • Experience in supplier on-site inspection.
  • Basic understanding of metallurgy, material properties, or surface treatment.
