Job Description
As a result of our continued growth in the UK, we are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to support the Asset Management team with growth, securing new contracts and developing new service offerings within the Asset Management function. Applicants ideally should have a background in renewables business development with a proven history of relatable work experience at a senior level. The position is for an immediate start based, located in Milton Keynes or Edinburgh.
What you will do
- You will be required to actively seek new business opportunities with existing and potential clients.
- You will Lead proactive external engagement through Face to Face and Digital interactions.
- You will be responsible for maintaining an excellent level of Asset Management knowledge and a deep understanding of all potential opportunities.
- You will work alongside the marketing team to enhance the visibility of the business to secure future growth opportunities.
- You will develop a bid / no-bid model and supporting pricing matrix to underpin future growth opportunities.
- You will be responsible for developing a strong pipeline of growth opportunities with new and existing clients, exploring alternate options within Asset Management services.
- You will work in collaboration with Group Business Development colleagues to share knowledge and expand pipeline.
- You will support in the production and development of tender documents.
- You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of specified development activity and provide timely and consistent data.
- You will support in the house Legal Counsel with contract negotiations, ensuring the terms align with company expectations.
- You will maintain a deep understanding of the UK market, including competitors' activities and benchmarking data.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in business development or sales within the Renewables, or Asset Management sector.
- Organised and able to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
- Proven track record of securing Asset Management contracts with external customers, with a deep understanding of the process in these markets.
- Ability to develop long-term relationships, and handle objections effectively.
- Ability to analyse data and market trends to inform decision-making and actionable targets.
- Excellent communication skills, both written (presentations, reports, documents) and spoken.
- Excellent commercial insight and understanding of value drivers in renewables business.
- A strong team player, able to be adaptable and provide support to colleagues within the business.
- Confident and able to speak in public forums.
