Boralex has been providing renewable and affordable energy for over 30 years. The Group, composed of more than 800 employees, operates renewable assets with an installed capacity of over 3 GW and is developing a project portfolio of 6.8 GW in wind, solar, and energy storage.
You will play an important role in
Under the supervision of the Hydro Site Supervisor, you will have several challenges including operation and maintenance of plant and equipment. You will have the opportunity to work with a seasoned team. Your responsibility will be to:
- Operate the plant and equipment related to the Operations Manual and the operating orders;
- Maintain the equipment in function of the procedures in place;
- Be proactive in regard to maintenance to prevent equipment failure or degradation;
- Solve operational problems;
- Perform related duties as required;
- Perform powerline maintenance (training onsite);
- All this being performed in compliance with the company values (health and safety and environmental procedures).
To succeed in this position, you need
- Technical degree or diploma from a recognized technical school or equivalent would be an asset;
- The candidate must have a Millwright/heavy Red Seal Duty's ticket;
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a related field;
- Ability to work in a remote and isolated community;
- Be in excellent physical condition;
- Good knowledge of control and mechanical concepts;
- Ability to perform management tasks (reports, forms, etc.);
- Good computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.) and knowledge of network systems, internet skills;
- Possess a class 3 Drivers licence and level 1 First Aid;
- Ability to work under pressure and work alone;
- Be willing to improve skills sets, open to extensive training if skill sets are not up to the Divisional standards by following a company list of courses;
- Maintain professional relations with the other members of the team;
- Ability to plan, execute and follow maintenance work;
- Ability to follow production and find root cause for the unplanned events and plan corrective maintenance appropriately.

The expected annual base salary range for this position is $31-$40. Compensation at Boralex is determined in accordance with internal policies and business requirements, taking into account factors such as relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
This range represents the anticipated minimum and maximum base salary for the position at the applicable work location and does not guarantee compensation. Total compensation may include eligibility for an annual Short-Term Incentive Plan (STIP) and other benefits, in accordance with applicable plans and policies.
