Job Description

We are building a new Process Engineering organization at Vestas Blades. Our mission is to support manufacturing operations with experts who are directly involved in the production process. This setup allows for faster decision-making, stronger process ownership, and deeper technical understanding. We operate with a mindset of excellence and innovation.

We are looking for Documentation Expert to join our teams in both the Handling & Logistics and Finish & Paint areas in our factory of blades for wind turbines.

Responsibilities

As a Documentation Expert, your main responsibility is to create, maintain, and improve clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation for teams working on wind turbine blade production. This includes work instructions, process flows, and training materials for shop floor teams.

You will play a key part in improving our processes and supporting performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC). You will work closely with operators, logistics staff, and quality teams-and spend time on the shop floor to truly understand how things work.

  • Create and update process documentation and work instructions for shop floor teams (e.g., operators, logistics staff, quality teams)
  • Ensure documentation is always available, accessible, and up-to-date
  • Follow documentation standards and templates provided by the organization
  • Collect feedback from end-users and make improvements to content and structure
  • Conduct internal quality and completeness checks before releasing documentation
  • Track and communicate documentation status and timelines to relevant stakeholders
  • Support the development of basic training materials related to document use
  • Share best practices and lessons learned with documentation teams across areas
  • Use modern digital tools for documentation (e.g. process visualization tools, laser systems)
  • Support root cause investigations using methods like 5 Whys and Fishbone Diagrams
  • Apply Lean thinking to simplify processes and reduce waste

Requirements

  • All levels of experience-from junior professionals to senior specialists with deep experience in technical documentation.
  • Bachelor's degree- You don't need to be an engineer, but comfortable navigating engineering-related content
  • Background in technical documentation, manufacturing, logistics, or technical support roles in industrial environment
  • Training or experience in technical writing, communication, or process documentation
  • Familiarity with tools and methodologies like Lean, 5 Whys, Fishbone, etc
