Job Description

Arcosa Wind Towers, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of structural wind towers in North America. We focus on excellence, offering premier value to our customers.

Arcosa Wind Towers is seeking a Maintenance Manager. In this role you will manage and direct maintenance functions including mechanical and electrical installations, service and repair in order to maximize productivity and utilization of equipment and assets. You will also support a positive safety culture by directing the activities of the maintenance and electrical department to support the entire plant operation.

Location: Newton, IA

What you'll do

  • Comply with all company and industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations
  • Oversee SAFE & MSHA compliant implementation of plant maintenance/electrical procedures
  • Manage activities to include, but not be limited to parts and components management, purchasing, capital project management, budgeting and oversight of plant preventative and correctly maintenance activities
  • Develop employees into leaders by empowering the team to embrace a culture of safety
  • Inspire quality craftmanship while creating plant maintenance procedures
  • Utilize daily key performance indicators to drive maintenance excellent to strengthen and driver operations performance
  • Act at a team builder who can communicate expectations to plant personnel
  • Achieve maintenance goals, both proactive and preventative, plan and schedule maintenance and maintain inventory of materials
  • Complete and maintain required paperwork
  • Maintain plant operations and availability above 90%
  • Operational duties as required

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent maintenance experience desired
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance
  • Ability to adapt departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges
  • Ability to troubleshoot, isolate and repair equipment and consult schematics as needed
  • In-depth knowledge of shop mechanics and the mechanical operation of equipment

Working Conditions

  • Full-time position
  • Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds which operate 3 shifts and frequent weekend shifts
  • This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
  • Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
