As a Buyer in our Renewables division, you will be a valuable member of the dedicated global procurement team for our office in Gdynia. You will be working strategically and operationally on procurement for large offshore substation projects worldwide and supporting service department in achieving its objectives.

In this role you will contribute to project success by implementing effective procurement practices, with a strong focus on a data-driven decision making and usage of ERP system to optimize processes. You will also handle key administrative tasks such as maintaining data records, coordination documentation and ensuring activities are correctly tracked and recorded. This position offers the opportunity to develop your purchasing skills in a large-scale project environment.

Your tasks & responsibilities

As a Buyer, your key responsibility is to provide procurement support through effective communication and coordination with project team members both internally and externally. A significant part of the role involves utilizing ERP systems, data maintenance and optimization of our procurement processes and reporting.

Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Converting purchase requisitions to purchase orders through the Requisition-to-Pay process.
  • Documenting all communications between Semco Maritime, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients in a methodical and well-organized manner.
  • Expediting orders and ensuring that invoices are accurately matched prior to payment.
  • Coordinating logistics both internal and external.
  • Proactively identifying and managing any supply risks that may arise from the supply chain.
  • Ensuring supplier performance (on time delivery, cost and quality).
  • Ensuring that the procurement process adheres to proper document templates.
  • Receiving, registering, storing, and distributing all procurement-related documents and correspondence in the appropriate systems.
  • Providing assistance to the Purchasing Manager.
