Become a Vehicle Fleet Management Specialist at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you'll work assigned duties across fleet functions and supplier management activities. This team supports $35M in annual generator rental services, $10M in equipment rental spend, administration of 4,000 active leases with a $250 M+ financed balance, electronic driver compliance systems for 3,300 MD and HD drivers and remarketing of up to 800 assets annually. Fleet financial reporting and CARB compliance reporting functions are also in scope. This position supports a growing fleet of 6,700 assets with $1B replacement value and $160M annual operating costs. Responsibilities
- Assists in the development and administration of driver policy procedures for fleet.
- Administers the dispatch and return of rental equipment; ensures invoice compliance to contract; identifies and resolves invoicing discrepancies or equipment issues; maintains rental equipment databases and SAP master data.
- Monitors day to day fleet telemetry, maintenance and orders to ensure records are maintained, and that vehicles are safe.
- Ensures that the fleet vehicles and garages comply with all appropriate safety regulations and are managed to high safety standards.
- Maintains insurance logs and details within fleet management systems. Provides Support for fleet vehicle related issues or concerns.
- Ensures that all maintenance, repair and replacement are performed on time and are cost-effective. Aids in providing direction for policy development that protects the fleet asset base.
- Supports periodically the TSD Rentals 24x7 Duty line.
- Communicates clearly across the user groups, garages, and team members to ensure all delivery and pickup timelines are achieved. Updates databases and SAP Master Data accordingly.
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Three or more years of experience in fleet management operations and responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- B.S Degree or higher in Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance or Engineering.
- Experience with an construction or utility work truck fleet and asset classes (Digger Derricks, Bucket Trucks, Cranes, Cable Pullers, etc.)
- Experience in transportation or vehicle related fleet asset management role.
- Experience making in-depth fleet asset management models to drive effective management recommendations.
- Supplier contract management experience.
Additional Information
- This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

- The primary work location for this position is Pomona. However, the successful candidate may also be asked to work for an extended amount of time at in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
- Position will require up to 30% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
- This position has an option for a 9/80 Alternate Work Schedule or 40hrs/5 days a week.
- Relocation does not apply to this position.
