Your Missions
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced commercial / contracts legal advisor to join a successful and growing renewable energy business. The Legal Counsel will provide comprehensive legal support to the Construction, Operations & Maintenance Business Lines within the Renvolt group, supporting our green energy international vision and mission.
The main responsibilities include:
Contract Drafting, Review & Negotiation
- Provide legal analysis, drafting and negotiation of national and international contracts for the construction and operation of renewable power plants (EPC, O&M);
- Review and negotiate subcontracting, supply and consortium agreements;
- Respond on behalf of the company to third-party client tenders and pre-qualification questionnaires;
- Draft and maintain contract templates and standard legal documents;
- Drive the digitalisation of Renvolt's legal operations, including the evaluation and deployment of a CLM solution and AI-assisted contract tools in coordination with the rest of the teams.
Claims, Disputes & Risk Management
- Analyse and mitigate legal and contractual risks for the company;
- Assist in managing customer and supplier claims (pre-litigation and litigation);
- Coordinate, advice and give instructions on behalf of the company for judicial or arbitral disputes, with the support from external legal counsel;
- Coordinate with external counsel for complex litigation matters.
General Legal Support & Compliance
- Provide general legal advice and support across business lines on transversal topics;
- Keep up to date with changes in case law, contract law, corporate law, regulations in the energy and construction sectors, and local legislation across operating geographies;
- Ensure accurate legal advice is given and that procedures are followed per current local legislative, statutory compliance, and company/group policies;
- Contribute to drafting internal policies and internal legal guidelines;
- Support the Legal Manager on any ad-hoc matters as required.
Qualifications & Experiences
The ideal candidate will be/have:
- Master's degree in Business Law, International Law, or equivalent;
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in commercial or contract law;
- Solid experience in project-related contracts (Construction & Maintenance / EPC);
- Strong knowledge of contract law and construction law;
- Knowledge and experience providing support for contracts governed by common law (e.g. English law and/or Irish law);
- Knowledge of energy law and corporate law is a plus;
- Experience in renewable energy or energy sector preferred;
- Familiarity with AI-powered legal tools and Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platforms is a strong asset;
- English fluency is mandatory; French, Portuguese or Spanish proficiency is appreciated.
This position can be based in Portugal or Spain.
