We believe that diverse perspectives lead to better engineering and stronger teams, and we are committed to building an inclusive workplace.
Your Role
As part of the Innovation Team, you will define and develop system architectures for next-generation electric aviation technologies.
You will translate high-level objectives into coherent system architectures, ensuring integration across electrical, thermal, software, and mechanical domains.
Your work will directly shape how future electric propulsion and energy storage systems are designed, integrated, and brought toward certification.
You will play a key role in structuring complex systems, evaluating technical trade-offs, and guiding multidisciplinary teams during early-stage development.
Main Responsibilities
- Define system architectures for electric propulsion, energy storage, and associated subsystems
- Translate high-level objectives into structured system architectures and technical solutions
- Develop system breakdown structures, functional architectures, and interface definitions
- Perform architecture trade studies to evaluate design options and emerging technologies
- Identify key technical risks and system-level constraints and propose mitigation strategies
- Ensure consistency and integration across electrical, thermal, software, and mechanical domains
- Guide engineering teams during concept development and early design phases
- Support the development of system models, simulations, and performance assessments
- Contribute to technology roadmaps and innovation strategy
- Support prototype and demonstrator development by ensuring system-level coherence
Your Profile
- MSc or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Strong experience in system architecture and complex system design
- Ability to build system architectures from high-level objectives or early requirements
- Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering environments
- Knowledge of electric propulsion, power electronics, high-voltage batteries, data buses, or thermal systems is a strong asset
- Familiarity with system modelling tools or MBSE approaches is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate technical trade-offs
What We Offer
- The opportunity to work on cutting-edge electric aviation technology with real-world impact
- A collaborative, international, and purpose-driven team
- Opportunities to grow into technical or leadership roles
