Job Description
Are you excited to help shape the success of one of the UK's most significant solar and battery storage projects? At EDF Power Solutions, your financial expertise will support our journey to a cleaner, greener future and help power Britain's ambitions for a net zero energy system.
The Opportunity
As our Financial Controller for the Longfield project, you'll play a key role in guiding one of the UK's largest DCO solar projects from development into construction and operations. You'll support leaders with essential financial insight and help drive effective, confident decision making.
You'll bring strong financial experience and use it to support forecasting, governance and project performance, with the chance to broaden your skills across several DCO projects over time. You'll work closely with stakeholders at all levels and contribute to a major national renewables programme.
This is a hybrid role linked to our offices in #RaintonBridge, #Edinburgh or #London. You'll split your time between home working and being on site or in the office, depending on project priorities and stakeholder needs.
Who You Are
We're looking for a Financial Controller who is analytical, collaborative and eager to take ownership in a fast paced project environment. You'll bring sound judgement, accuracy and resilience. To be shortlisted, you need to offer...
- An accounting qualification such as CTA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA
- Two to four years' post qualification experience in a similar role
- Experience presenting detailed financial information to financial and non financial audiences
- Experience working successfully in a multidisciplinary team
- A solid understanding of non recourse project finance structures, cash flow management, financial governance and compliance with finance agreements
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting senior leaders to deliver accurate budgets, forecasts and strategic plans
- Providing financial analysis and reporting to support project delivery and performance
- Helping the project team maintain strong financial and budgetary control
- Managing cash flow forecasting, shareholder drawdowns and finance agreement obligations
- Overseeing the integrity of financial statements across the Longfield project
