Job Description

We are now looking for a Maintenance Planner to join our team working for a better future.

The position is permanent and the preferred location is in Trieste (Italy).

What you will be doing

In this position, you will work in the AFEU Maintenance Management team which is a highly skilled and specialized team dedicated to support Wärtsilä long term agreement customers in their daily as well as in the long-term operations. Our target is to optimize the installation lifecycle costs and overall performances working in strict contact with Products and Operations Experts. The Maintenance Management expertise group is formed by a group of engineers focusing on the planned and unplanned maintenance plan for the installations, with close look to customer needs.

As Maintenance Planner, your work will focus on these responsibilities

  • Create contract lifetime maintenance plan.
  • Update annual and detailed maintenance plans for the assigned contracts and prepare input for annual financial maintenance planning.
  • Create the sales opportunities in CRM, or if part of contract, in maintenance management tool.
  • Act timely that the availability required spare parts, exchange parts, field service resources and required maintenance tools for maintenance tasks are at installation as per maintenance plan.
  • Monitor site spare part inventory if applicable.
  • Monitor that the maintenance tasks are executed within the targeted time and the Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Guidelines are followed as well as Customer Site Procedures.
  • Communication with Contract Managers and customers in the area of maintenance management

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have

  • Structured mindset and problem-solving approach
  • Short time scheduling and long-term planning capacity
  • Willingness and possibility to travel when business requires.
  • MSc. degree in Engineering is required.
  • Fluent English is a must have condition.

In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 20%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
