We are looking for a Field Service Coordinator to join our dynamic, fast-paced Field Service team in the Energy business. In this role, you will coordinate field service work orders end-to-end-planning resources, schedules, spare parts, and costs-while acting as a key connection point between customers, field teams, and internal stakeholders.

This position is primarily based in Quito, Ecuador (hybrid).

What you will do

  • Coordinate standard Field Service work orders and ensure smooth execution from planning to closure.
  • Plan activities, resources, spare parts, costs, and timelines to deliver jobs safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Coordinate and guide technical personnel assigned to each work order (including teams not necessarily located in the same country).
  • Lead day-to-day operational coordination locally within the assigned responsibility area.
  • Serve as the main contact person for customers and internal stakeholders during service execution.
  • Monitor progress, follow up, and report work order status to customers and relevant stakeholders.
  • Support cost control and project cost awareness, ensuring accurate tracking and follow-up.
  • Maintain tools under your responsibility in good condition, ensuring preventive maintenance is completed as required.
  • Ensure all work is executed according to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) guidelines and customer site procedures.
  • Work in accordance with Wärtsilä's processes, values, and management system requirements.

What you bring

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical, Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronic Engineering (or equivalent relevant experience).
  • English B2 or higher (spoken and written).
  • Proven experience in operations coordination, including planning/scheduling, resource allocation, and cost follow-up for service or project work.
  • Experience leading or coordinating technical personnel (directly or operationally), including remote coordination.
  • Strong customer orientation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Solid attention to detail, structure, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to travel 1-3 days per month.

Nice to have

  • Experience with medium-speed engines / 4-stroke environments.
  • Knowledge of Wärtsilä products and field service processes.
