Company Overview

ClimatePartner GmbH

Munich, Germany

2006

Over 500 employees (Source: sustainablebrands.com). Revenue of 13 million euros in 2023 (Source: technologymagazine.com).

What They Do

ClimatePartner focuses on corporate climate action services rather than offering specific technologies for renewable energy such as solar, wind, or hydrogen. Their main focus is on calculating carbon footprints, developing emission reduction strategies, and sourcing renewable energy. They also provide solutions for offsetting residual emissions through certified projects that align with the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals (Source: sustainablebrands.com). Their products include a cloud-based emissions management software, tailored consulting services for setting reduction targets, and customized solutions for sourcing renewable energy, which include certificates such as GOs, I-RECs, RECs, VERs, and CERs (Source: climatepartner.com). Target markets are global companies in over 60 countries, with a customer base of more than 6,000 companies looking to integrate climate strategies, particularly in retail and consumer goods (Source: fellowmind.com). Through an integrated model that combines software, consulting, and high-quality offset projects, ClimatePartner differentiates itself through transparency and long-term partnerships that enable measurable outcomes such as climate-neutral certifications (Source: technologymagazine.com).

Projects & Track Record

ClimatePartner has not published specific projects with names, locations, or capacities, as the company primarily supports customer-oriented initiatives. However, they offer comprehensive services for calculating emissions and offsetting for thousands of corporate programs (Source: fellowmind.com). Ongoing projects include supporting climate strategies for over 6,000 companies through software-based emissions management and renewable sourcing (Source: sustainablebrands.com). Their geographical presence includes 13 offices in Europe and the USA, with the company growing from 35 to over 60 countries (Source: fellowmind.com). Partnerships with RECS International and Fellowmind support the further development of renewable energy markets and the implementation of internal systems (Source: recs.org).

Recent Developments

In the past two years, ClimatePartner has introduced the "ClimatePartner certified" label, which imposes higher requirements on participating companies, including mandatory emission reduction targets (Source: sustainablebrands.com). The company has completed a significant overhaul of its cloud infrastructure by transitioning from outdated systems to Microsoft Dynamics 365 to create a unified data foundation for sales, customer management, and forecasting (Source: fellowmind.com). Although no major acquisitions or mergers have been announced during this period, internal investments in scalability position the company for future growth (Source: fellowmind.com). Milestones include serving over 6,000 customers and operating in more than 60 countries (Source: technologymagazine.com).

Working There

ClimatePartner offers positions in sales, consulting, software development, customer management, and support. The introduction of Microsoft Dynamics 365 has created new roles related to cloud infrastructure, data analysis, and emissions calculation (Source: fellowmind.com). Hiring occurs at all 13 locations, including the headquarters in Munich and offices in the USA and Europe (Source: sustainablebrands.com). The company culture emphasizes collaboration across different business areas and the seamless integration of systems to avoid disruptions during technical transitions (Source: fellowmind.com). Specific benefits are not documented in the available sources; however, the scalable Microsoft platform enables secure global data access for employees (Source: fellowmind.com).
