What are your main tasks and responsibilities?

  • Plan, lead and manage operation and maintenance activities at the plant and assigned team.
  • Ensure that the performance targets of the plant are reached according to the contract.
  • Ensure competent resources and competence development within assigned team.
  • Ensure that the condition of the plant and equipments are according to applicable guidelines and policies and take corrective actions when needed.
  • Ensure that the work is executed at plant according to Wartsila Quality, Health Safety and Environmental guidelines and customer site procedures.
  • Implement Contract Management actions plans, processes and guidelines in the assigned responsibility area.
  • Prepare reports, plan and budget as instructed by the Contract Manager.
  • Identify and actively seek to improve operational and maintenance reliability and availability of the plant.
  • Develop the operation working routines at the plant.
  • Maintain good internal and external stakeholder relationships.

What do we expect from you?

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

  • Eight to ten (8-10 years') experience in technical department, including multiple years of people management experience
  • a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Manager
  • and preferably having a PME/PEE
  • Computer literate
  • have been exposed to Wartsila engine would be beneficial
  • having Professional Mechanical or Electrical Engineer license would be an advantage

Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills to be able to interpret data.
  • Good problem-solving skills to gather and analyze information.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all operational levels of the organization as well as with employees and customers
  • Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to present recommendations and ideas and to summarize issues.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a time-sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines.
  • The following technical skills, engine knowledge (installation based), turbocharges, electrical systems, engine control systems, auxiliary systems, measurement systems, vibration technology and safety and environmental knowledge
