Job Description

BURN is looking for a Quality Assurance Technician works with the QC team manufacturing staff and research and development team to ensure inspection and testing procedures are implemented and maintained. He/she will assist in the development of standards to meet quality requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the New Product Development (NPD) & Operations team by collecting test data, drafting reports, and giving quality feedback throughout the test period.
  • Ensure the technical documents required for production meet document control and revision requirements.
  • Analyse data to identify trends in product quality or defects to mitigate and prevent recurrence and future defects. Identify root causes of problems in the production process; recommend and/or implement corrective measures.
  • Conduct an audit on quality jigs and fixtures, tools, and equipment to ensure they are calibrated and up to date.
  • Ensure that products meet the organization, customers' quality, and product integrity requirements.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with industry standards and regulations. Identify possible areas for improvement in quality control processes.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the manufacturing or production environment, preferably in QA/QC or process engineering.
  • Working knowledge of quality control methodologies.
  • Experience in inspection and testing processes, including the use of measuring instruments.
  • Strong data analysis skills (Excel or Equivalent) for identifying trends, defects, and process deviations.
  • Familiarity with document control systems and revision management.
  • Understanding of relevant industry standards, e.g., ISO 9001, EN standards where applicable.
  • Basic CAD skills, e.g., SolidWorks, Auto CAD for reviewing drawings, and jigs and fixtures.
  • Experience with quality tools such as FMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP
  • Knowledge of lean Manufacturing/ Six Sigma principles.
  • High attention to detail and structured problem-solving approach.
