The NPI Engineer is responsible for organizing, coordinating, and monitoring all activities related to new product introduction (NPI) programs and engineering changes (ECN) / Deviations in the plant, from concept to full implementation. This role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with quality, cost, and operational objectives.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee NPI projects and engineering changes throughout all phases.
- Act as the liaison between engineering, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, and other departments to ensure successful implementation.
- Monitor and report project progress, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with corporate procedures, customer requirements, and industry standards.
- Support the preparation and execution of pilot runs, validations, and process capability studies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of project milestones, changes, and approvals.
- Provide training and technical support to production teams during the introduction of new products or process modifications.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and engineering change management.
- Project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities to manage risks and resolve issues.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and coordination skills.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and project documentation tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Accountabilities
- Ensure NPI and ECN projects are implemented successfully without disrupting operations.
- Guarantee the delivery of projects on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
- Provide accurate and timely project updates to management and stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to product introduction and engineering change processes.
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in NPI, project management, or engineering change processes in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is desirable.
- Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written).
