We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud Platform team and take ownership of our cloud architecture, automation, and deployment pipelines. You will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud environments while enabling engineering teams to ship faster and more reliably.
Your main responsibilities
- Design and manage AWS cloud infrastructure with a focus on reliability, security, and performance.
- Write and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, ensuring environments are reproducible, version-controlled, and well-documented.
- Own and improve GitLab CI/CD pipelines, working closely with development teams to streamline build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Drive cloud cost optimization initiatives and establish best practices across the organization.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Proactively identify and resolve infrastructure bottlenecks and security gaps.
Your profile
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or a related infrastructure role.
- Deep hands-on expertise in AWS - including EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, and Lambda.
- Proficiency in Terraform, including module design, state management, and environment promotion.
- Solid experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitLab.
- Strong scripting skills in Bash or Python.
- Familiarity with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work autonomously and take ownership of complex problems.
- Willingness to take on on-call duties (approx. one week per month)
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS security tooling: GuardDuty, Security Hub, AWS Config.
- Knowledge of observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
- AWS Solutions Architect or HashiCorp Terraform Associate certification.
- Experience with multi-account AWS Organizations setups.
- Knowledge of Azure.
