We are looking for a Manufacturing Project Engineer who will handle Factory Operations and report directly to the NPI Manager. The role involves leading a small team of interns and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive manufacturing excellence, process improvements, and support new product introductions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead a small team of interns within a manufacturing team
  • Apply basic knowledge of electronic components (resistors, capacitors, inductors, microcontrollers) in daily tasks
  • Design test circuits to meet product assembly and testing requirements
  • Develop and refine manufacturing methods to reduce waste and increase output
  • Plan, manage and execute projects to ensure timely delivery
  • Collaborate with the new Product Development (NPD) team to understand product roadmaps and allocate resources accordingly
  • Produce documentation in line with BURN product development stage gate process, for example, forecast figures, product build studies, TAKT time calculations, line balancing, line design, CAPEX management, sourcing and tracking of assembly line items, product packaging, process flow definition.
  • Work with the Engineering Design team to develop jigs, fixtures, QC gauges, and assembly/process work instructions.
  • Collaborate with the Tooling department to develop tooling setup sheets
  • Partner with production and quality departments to identify and implement continuous improvements, including line balancing and headcount reduction.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Skills and Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (essential)
  • Practical knowledge of electronics components
  • Experience in manufacturing engineering or related field is an advantage
  • Strong project management and documentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and lead small teams
