Job Description

Arcosa Wind Towers is searching for Painters to join our team on the Night shift. As a Painter, you will prepare materials, surfaces, and structures for coverage with paint, laminate, rubber, or other material.

Location: Tulsa, OK

Safety Sensitive: Yes

What you'll do:

  • Operates conventional and airless spray equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metal and other types of surfaces. Mixes and applies alkyds, epoxies, gel coats, powder coats, urethane, zinc epoxies or water borne paint systems according to a prescribed formula.
  • Adjust nozzles on spray guns to obtain the proper dispersion of the spray and monitors the flow and viscosity of the paint or solution.
  • Cleans paint lines, paint guns and performs other cleaning preventative maintenance.
  • Regulates temperature and air circulation in drying ovens.
  • Understands curing process.
  • Follows all safety rules and practices.
  • May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.
  • Ability to work as a team, demonstrate high ethical standards, treat all coworkers with dignity and respect and support a positive working culture.

Preferred skills:

  • Prefer candidate with 1 year paint experience or ability to learn paint process quickly.
  • Prefer candidate with LEAN standardized processes for paint or the ability to learn the LEAN standardized processes.
  • Prefer basic knowledge of mill gauge and pressure monitors or the ability to learn.
  • Working Conditions: Hourly full-time position.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.

Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds which operate multiple shifts and frequent weekend shifts.

  • This position frequently requires work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays.
  • Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant.
  • Hourly position, 4:30PM - 2:00AM Monday - Friday (subject to change based on business needs), mandatory OT often required.
