Job Description

Predict+ helps energy companies turn forecasts into profitable operating decisions.

Our platform combines load and generation forecasting, market-price intelligence, billing and revenue projections, and storage optimization. Customers can use Predict+ to anticipate energy demand, improve revenue visibility, reduce imbalance exposure, and determine when batteries should charge, hold, or discharge.

Our product suite includes:

  • Predict+ Forecast: Load and renewable-generation forecasting
  • Predict+ Storage: Forecast-driven battery planning and optimization
  • Predict+ Revenue: Forecast-to-bill revenue visibility, estimation, and anomaly detection
  • Predict+ Markets: Real-time and forward market-price intelligence

The Opportunity

We are looking for a senior enterprise seller to lead new customer acquisition across the United States and Canada.

This is an individual-contributor role for someone who enjoys opening markets, developing executive relationships, and converting technical capabilities into measurable financial value. You will sell to utilities, public power organizations, independent power producers, renewable and storage asset owners, energy retailers, and trading organizations.

You will lead the complete sales process-from identifying priority accounts through discovery, business-case development, pilot design, procurement, and closing.

Responsibilities

What you will do

  • Build and execute a named-account strategy for North America.
  • Develop new relationships with commercial, trading, operations, finance, storage, and innovation executives.
  • Diagnose the customer's operational and financial problem before positioning a Predict+ product.
  • Develop quantified business cases around storage value, imbalance exposure, market participation, procurement costs, and revenue visibility.
  • Position focused entry points such as Predict+ Storage or Predict+ Revenue rather than leading with an overly broad platform pitch.
  • Create pilot and backtest opportunities using a prospect's historical operating data.
  • Work closely with product and data-science teams on demonstrations, technical validation, and commercial proposals.
  • Navigate utility security reviews, procurement processes, legal negotiations, and multi-stakeholder buying committees.
  • Build relationships with consultants, market-service providers, asset managers, and other potential channel partners.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasts and clearly document deal progression, next steps, risks, and decision criteria.
  • Represent Predict+ at energy, power-market, storage, and utility-industry events.

Requirements

What we are looking for

  • 5-7+ years of complex B2B enterprise sales experience, including meaningful new-logo responsibility.
  • Experience selling software, analytics, data, optimization, or related services to energy-market customers.
  • Existing relationships with utilities, IPPs, renewable developers, storage operators, energy retailers, or trading organizations.
  • Working knowledge of North American power markets such as ERCOT, CAISO, PJM, MISO, SPP, NYISO, or ISO-NE.
  • Ability to connect technical capabilities to financial outcomes and create a credible ROI case.
  • Experience structuring pilots, proofs of value, or data-driven evaluations.
  • A record of navigating long sales cycles involving commercial, technical, finance, procurement, security, and legal teams.
  • Comfortable operating independently in an early-stage commercial environment.
  • Strong written, presentation, discovery, and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25-35% as customer needs require.

Experience with energy forecasting, BESS optimization, ETRM/CTRM, DERMS, energy-market data, renewable asset management, or utility analytics is particularly valuable.

How success will be measured

  • Quality and coverage of the regional pipeline
  • Creation of qualified, economically justified opportunities
  • Conversion of discovery conversations into pilots and commercial evaluations
  • New annual recurring revenue and lighthouse customers
  • Expansion from an initial Predict+ use case into additional modules
  • Accuracy of sales forecasts and strength of executive customer relationships

Location: Remote, United States or Canada

Reports to: VP Software Sales

Compensation: Competitive base salary plus uncapped performance-based compensation (140K - 160K)

Pay range:

$140-160K + Commission
