Job description
IronRidge®, an Enstall company, designs and manufactures structural hardware for residential and commercial solar systems. Under Enstall Solar Group's corporate umbrella, along with QuickMount and PanelClaw, we are part of the largest rooftop solar mounting and racking hardware group in the U.S. For over 20 years, we have worked closely with solar professionals to build strong, simple, and cost-effective products. IronRidge is NSF® Certified to ISO 9001, maintaining the highest of quality management standards.
What You'll Do
We are seeking a detail oriented, organized, and self-sufficient Buyer/Planner to develop and execute supply plans, use ERP, inventory, and reporting tools to drive sound decisions, and serve as the first point of contact for assigned suppliers and service providers.
This job is for a hybrid role with responsibilities that will span both Supply Planning and Procurement. The primary responsibility for the Buyer/Planner will be to balance enterprise-wide inventory investments with targeted on-time delivery service levels to ensure an exceptional experience for customers. This is not a role that simply executes MRP and reporting-tool triggers: system signals are a starting point, and you'll apply judgment and hands-on follow-up to keep critical SKUs and suppliers on track. The role owns the accuracy of its own data and analysis and partners closely with Sales Ops, Customer Service, PLM and Sourcing.
- Develop supply plans and procurement activities that balance vendor capacity, lead times, and cost across a global supplier base, while managing inventory levels across the warehouse network to maintain continuity of supply and on-time delivery from NPI through obsolescence
- Own supplier relationships for assigned categories: confirm production, shipping, and delivery schedules, and track supplier commitments and sub-tier visibility for critical components
- Serve as first-level escalation point for internal clients on product availability, lead times, order fulfillment delays, invoicing, and receiving issues
- Execute to MRP and maintain data integrity, including open PO accuracy in the ERP, product rollovers, ECO impacts on inventory, and obsolescence
- Analyze supply data and act on trends in supplier OTD, material usage, forecast accuracy, and spend; track and report KPIs for key vendors
- Contribute to SIOP planning and procurement process improvements, and drive supply chain issue meetings as needed
- Partner with Sourcing and PLM on transition and scale-up timelines for NPIs, suppliers and ramp-down of discontinued SKUs and non-preferred suppliers
What You'll Bring
- BA/BS or 5+ years' experience in hands-on Procurement or Planning within a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Quick study, solid data analysis capability, problem solving, and negotiation skills
- Self-directed and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities; flags capacity constraints early
- General knowledge of materials, planning, master scheduling and manufacturing processes
- Proven ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities
- Demonstrated attention to accuracy; validates and reconciles own data and analysis before sharing it, and owns follow-through on commitments
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills; ability to turn data sets into clear presentations for the target audience
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, graphs); working knowledge of Outlook, MS-Word, and PowerPoint
- Direct experience with: ERP/MRP, SIOP programs, and ISO standards; Microsoft Dynamics or another cloud-based ERP preferred; WMS familiarity a plus
- Comfort using AI tools to speed up analysis, reporting and drafting, with the judgement to verify the output before sharing it. (preferred)
Where You'll Be Located
This is a hybrid position which will report to our Hayward, CA office 2 days/week.
What We'll Offer
We offer competitive compensation determined by each individual's relevant experience, skills, education and location. We anticipate the base salary for this position to be between $100,000 and $118,000/annually, if located in the San Francisco Bay Area market. In addition to base salary, IronRidge employees are eligible for either an annual bonus or commission, depending on their position.
In addition to a competitive benefit package, we offer team members perks such as paid time off (PTO), a long term incentive plan, 401(k) match, development opportunities, educational assistance, 12 observed company holidays, paid parental leave, and a collaborative, inclusive culture just to name a few!
