Verbio North America specializes in industrial biofuels and renewable natural gas production derived from agricultural feedstocks and residues, including biodiesel, ethanol, animal feed, and fertilizers (source: verbio-north-america.com). The company operates multiple biorefineries across the United States and Canada, focusing on converting locally sourced grains, oilseeds, and agricultural residues such as corn stover into high-value renewable products (source: verbio-north-america.com). Projects & Track Record
Verbio North America's flagship asset is the Nevada Biorefinery in Nevada, Iowa, recognized as the first industrial-scale renewable natural gas facility in North America utilizing agricultural residues like corn stover as primary feedstock (source: verbio-north-america.com). The same year, the company’s acquisition of South Bend Ethanol was highlighted alongside the $230 million planned upgrade to enhance its biorefinery capabilities (source: world-grain.com). In 2024, Verbio filed with the U.S. Department of Energy seeking authorization to export up to 51.75 billion cubic feet per year of liquefied renewable natural gas, signaling expansion into export markets (source: energy.gov). The company’s North American operations and corporate structure under Verbio SE were reaffirmed in this filing (source: energy.gov).
