Our Business Development Department is looking for a PPA Development Intern to join its European team, based in Paris, France.

Corporate Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) play a key role in the development of renewable energies and the decarbonation of businesses and industries. One key Business Development activity is to originate, negotiate, and support the implementation of contracts to sell electricity, together with any associated guarantees of origin, to corporates.

As part of Business Development Europe, the PPA Development Intern will contribute to the following tasks:

  • Develop a pipeline of PPA leads: establish contact and build relationship with potential new business partners
  • Participate in the negotiation with potential offtakers in the view of signing new corporate PPAs: liaise with Neoen departments (local Development team, Finance, Legal, Energy Management, Asset management, Competence Center) when defining and negotiation contractual terms
  • Gather market intelligence (market conditions, price evolution and regulatory context) and deliver data-driven market analysis to inform Corporate PPA strategy
  • Improve processes and develop the tools to support efficient knowledge sharing with other departments (databases, dashboard and other reporting tools)
  • Develop new simulation tools to support PPA pricing and risk analysis

Profil

  • Education: Master’s Degree student from Business or Engineering School
  • Experience and/or strong interest for the renewable energy industry and sustainability
  • Good analytical skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Proactive and curious, with strong appetite for international collaboration
  • Coding capabilities with familiarity with data science libraries is a plus
  • Language: Fluent in French and in English
