Your contribution to TenneT

Based on the Energie-akkoord, where the targets and intentions for the transition to a more renewable energy supply are set, the Roadmap Offshore wind energy 2030 and the ambition to realise additional windcapacity prior to 2030 a roll-out strategy is being prepared for the long term, including the 2GW projects. This results in a commitment for TenneT to realise at least 14 2GW HVDC Grid Connection Systems which bring the power from offshore wind-farms in the North sea to the Dutch electricity grid to be commissioned between 2028 - 2031.

Within the portfolio team Stations Petrofac/Hitachi, consisting of at least 6 platform/HVDC projects, we are looking for a Project Lead Portfolio Management/Stations. The Portfolio is still developing, and this position may develop over time with more responsibilities and possibilities for promotion. This also means that for this position we are not only looking for a candidate that can do the job today but also has the potential to grow.

  • Managing the call-off process of the respective projects within the portfolio
  • Alignment with the relevant clusters/regions and preparing any decision as required
  • Identifying deltas within the planning (integrated planning), first line of management and alignment, developing mitigation measures
  • Responsible for the effective implementation of the processes described in the Framework Cooperation Agreement with our Partner
  • First line management of new developments (e.g. DC-HUB, LionLink), which impact the portfolio
  • Responsible for implementing the change process, including with respect to the reference scope
  • Depending on further developments within the portfolio, responsibilities may shift to the day-to-day management, on safety, cost, time and quality, of some projects within the portfolio
  • As Project Lead Portfolio Management/Stations you are reporting to the Portfolio Director

Your profile and background

You are a manager with strong technical and leadership skills. You are a natural, servant leader who can inspire teams. You are familiar with managing big infrastructure projects, especially also with offshore experience. You are preferably IPMA D certified or open to obtain.

Furthermore:

  • You have preferably a master degree and an academic level in thinking and working
  • You are dynamic, enthusiastic, intrinsically motivated without 'nine to five-mentality’
  • You have at least 5+ years of experience in a comparable job within large (offshore) infrastructure projects
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • You are fluent in English , additional languages are an advantage
  • You are willing to travel (within Europe, middle east and east). 8 days per month on average

The Unit is responsible for the current and future development of the offshore grid as a whole and subsequently for the development and realization of the DC interconnectors and the Offshore Wind Farm grid connections in both the German and Dutch sectors of the North Sea.

  • Salary for this position is in grade 18, with a maximum salary of € 10.122,- gross based on a fulltime position
  • The weekly working time is 40 hours
