About the role

ENGIE are recruiting for a Head of Transformation to be based in Leeds. This is a permanent role, working full time Monday to Friday. On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.

The purpose of the role is to define and lead significant business and IT change within UK Energy Supply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership responsibility of the divisional Change function which includes business change, IT projects, business improvement and Management Information.
  • Define, implement, and communicate the business change strategy to enable the division to achieve its objectives.
  • Define and implement new projects and programmes of change that will grow the divisions market share.
  • Works with the IT Delivery function to monitor and review progress across the delivery portfolio for the Division
  • Communicate the Change work schedule and manage expectations in the business, communicate progress updates, assist with resolving hurdles and gain business decisions
  • Collaborate with the Head of IT to identify IT projects with the business, work with Enterprise and Solutions Architects to develop a strategic technology roadmap, gain business sponsorship and initiate IT projects via the governance process.
  • Deliver projects using the appropriate agile project management methodology, learning & iterating frequently
  • Lead the collaborative, dynamic planning process - prioritising the work that needs to be done against the capacity and capability of all teams in the division
  • Define and deliver significant improvements in our customer experience and cost to serve across Energy Supply.
  • Identification/collation of potential business improvements within Energy Supply in respect of processes and supporting systems for management of existing and new market segments.
  • Define and deliver the divisional Management Information strategy, creating the target state reports enabling business insight and improved controls
  • Contribute to the definition and delivery of the divisional Data Quality strategy, ensuring the commercial value of the data is being protected and utilised.
  • Accountable for the creation of business cases for new strategic programmes
  • Determination and reporting of realised business benefits
  • Ensure business process documents are updated in preparation for business change (such as Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) documents and Operational guides)
  • Ensuring that all business users are effectively trained on new business process, to effectively integrate the new processes.

Key Requirements

  • Leadership of large-scale Change programmes
  • Previous experience of the Energy Industry, preferably B2B markets
  • Previous demonstrable experience in successfully dealing with senior stakeholders up to Board level
  • Experience in managing challenging and complex client & supplier engagements
  • Identifying and driving large-scale continuous improvement programmes
  • Proven leadership of change and IT functions
  • Proven experience in delivering digital projects and products
  • Proven experience using a range of agile project management methods
  • Degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline or specific related experience
  • Exceptional communicator and experienced in managing multiple challenging stakeholders with an ability to shape and influence decisions at executive level.
  • Ability to translate IT issues in a simple and effective way for the business to understand
  • Lead key supplier relationships and influence contract negotiations, change and improved relationships
  • Knowledge of electricity and gas UK Retail business processes and systems preferable
  • Knowledge of project development processes
  • Programme Management skills (e.g. Prince, MSP, Agile, Leading SAFe)
  • Understanding of Lean Management (e.g. Lean Six Sigma, TQM )
