ESS is seeking an Curriculum Developer & Training Specialist to meet the demands of our rapidly growing Customer Success organization. In this role, you will design technical documentation, design eLearning and instructor-led content, and deliver instructor-led content.

What you’ll do at ESS

  • Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate learning assets used by ESS customers, partners, and Field Service Engineers. May deliver live instructor-led training on-site to ESS customers or partners resulting in up to 25% travel
  • Develop and maintain documentation project schedules that complement engineering project schedules and communicate project status on a weekly basis
  • Research and collect data through engineering documentation, product specifications and other pertinent available source data
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills for the purpose of documentation development, curriculum development, editing and communication. Including a strong ability to take technical information and present it to a non-technical audience
  • Participate in product design meetings and other product related meetings, providing consequential input.
  • Maintain familiarity with customers/target audiences and their learning needs
  • Assist with special projects as assigned to support Customer Success business needs

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor’s degree in eLearning, Instructional Design, Communication, Graphic Design, or relevant eLearning/Curriculum design and development program OR equivalent work experience/certifications
  • 2+ years of experience in Instructional Design or Adult Learning/Training, including eLearning authoring experience and writing technical documentation
  • Experience as an instructor in a classroom and or hands-on environment
  • Ability to work independently along with strong organization and time management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models, lesson plans and curriculum planning skills
  • Proficiencies with eLearning design platforms, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite, basic understanding of HTML, LMS platforms
  • Knowledge of MS Office and audio and video editing software
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Experience with project management, project planning, and managing multiple projects
