ABOUT THIS POSITION

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for processing Accounts Receivable transactions, including timely processing of customer invoices and payments, assisting with the month-end close process, processing bank reconciliations, preparing balance sheet account reconciliations, assisting with third party audits and help to compile department reporting.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Accounts Receivable Specialist will:

  • Enter customer invoices and verify consistency with customer contracts
  • Receive and process customer payments
  • Communicate with lending agencies, customers, and colleagues regarding customer status
  • Engage with customers to ensure timely collectability of accounts receivable
  • Prepare accounting related entries to numerous registers, journals and logs
  • Assist with external audits
  • Complete journal entries for month-end process
  • Perform weekly reconciliation of bank accounts
  • Assist the finance department and senior accounting staff members with various tasks, including preparing reports, locating records, and processing statements
  • Ensure that balance sheet account reconciliations are completed on a monthly basis
  • Excel in a collaborative, team atmosphere – providing and receiving feedback to improve professional and personal performance as well as that of the team and the business

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate for this position will:

  • Associate degree in accounting or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • At least one year of experience in an accounting field preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential
  • Proficient in Excel. Comfort with Microsoft Office suite, Google, Salesforce, and data management. Maintain accurate and timely records in Salesforce, Google Calendars and other systems.
  • Netsuite and Salesforce experience a plus
  • A dedicated, consistent attention to detail is a must
  • Top-notch internal and external customer service skills. A passion for delivering a joyful customer experience.
