Solar inverter topologies are used to transfer solar DC power to AC grid at high efficiency and low cost. Besides the classical H4, H5 and HERIC topologies, there are a variety of other topologies used to increase efficiency further, like primary/secondary side cycloconverters. We are looking forward to your application!

Experience research

  • You research for known topologies externally and internally
  • You analyze and describe the topology
  • You model and characterize the topology with MATLAB/Simulink
  • You compare efficiency and cost of the different topologies
  • You generate ideas for further optimizations

Study field

You are currently studying electrical engineering or a similar subject

Experience

You provide knowledge and experience in power electronic topologies and system simulation

Skills

You have knowledge in fundamentals of power electronic topologies (buck, boost, flyback) and excellent understanding of control algorithms

Interests

You are familiar with MATLAB, Simulink and general programming (M code, C/C++)

Way of working

You are a team player and enjoy working with persons of different cultural and technical backgrounds

Language skills

You have English skills, both written and spoken. German is a plus
