Job Description

As a 3D Drawing Engineer at DEME Offshore, you are involved with the engineering of new offshore transport and installation methods and the development of corresponding offshore installation vessels and mission equipment.

You will be part of the Engineering Structures group within the Activity Line Offshore - Engineering, Design & Technology department.

You will engineer offshore installation vessels, methods and equipment in 3D. You will develop novel method and equipment concepts together with Methods and Equipment Engineers and will support and review the detailed design, integration on the installation vessel and interfacing with other mission equipment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Work together with engineering colleagues by creating accurate 3D models and animations
  • Concept development and materialization in 3D
  • 3D design review of methods and equipment engineering
  • Identify critical equipment features and operational methods for the installation
  • Identify possible problems or small clearances during offshore installations and mobilisation works
  • Supporting lifting engineering by 3D modelling, clash check and storyboard animation
  • Supporting digital twin simulator centre by 3D modelling input
  • Provide virtual and augmented reality modelling to support methods and equipment engineering

Your Profile

  • BSc or MSc Degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equal level based on work experience;
  • Have an open mind to think out of the box preferably with experience in concept engineering;
  • Be critical in reviewing information, communicative and problem solving;
  • Self-motivating, curious, eager to learn;
  • Speak and write fluent English;
  • Have a flexible attitude, adapt behavior and work methods in response to new info or unexpected obstacles;
  • Good eye for detail and technical understanding;
  • Advanced level working with 3D CAD programs;
  • Knowledge of PTC Creo Parametric and Windchill will be positively valued;
  • Experience with design, fabrication and assembly works will be positively valued.
