Job Description
NextEra Energy is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a PV Solar Field Technician II. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the operation and maintenance of photovoltaic solar systems. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting routine inspections and maintenance, troubleshooting system issues, and ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of solar power plants. As a Site Technician, you will support the Regional Manager or designee to ensure the perfect execution of the PGD processes. This position involves performing duties related to safety, contractor management, electrical/electronic/mechanical equipment operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, overall site operations, asset management, regulatory compliance, reliability engineering, and inventory management. You will conduct routine inspections of PV solar systems to identify and address any maintenance or performance issues. Preventive and corrective maintenance activities will be part of your daily tasks, including cleaning panels, replacing faulty components, and performing tests to ensure optimal system performance. Troubleshooting and diagnosing system failures will require you to utilize your technical knowledge and monitoring tools effectively. Collaboration with the operations team will be essential to implement and execute maintenance plans and procedures, as well as coordinating closely with the construction team during the installation and commissioning of new solar projects. You will also be responsible for generating reports and maintaining accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and equipment conditions, while ensuring compliance with safety standards and company policies during all work activities. Staying updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in solar technology and maintenance techniques will be crucial for your success in this role.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- High School Grad / GED
- 1+ years of experience in a related field
- Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
Nice-to-haves
- Trade School Graduate
- Licensed Electrician
- Licensed Master Electrician
- Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certified
