Job Description
We are expanding our team in Milton Keynes and are currently looking for a Fixed-term Finance Assistant to support.
What you will do
- You will be responsible for raising sales invoices for contract and non-contract work, including postings to the accounting system.
- You will be responsible for reviewing aged debtors and resolving queries on customer accounts.
- You will be responsible for bank and other balance sheet account reconciliations.
- You will assist in processing purchase invoices and dealing with transactional queries.
- You will be responsible for processing staff expense and credit card statements.
- You will arrange payments to suppliers including postings to the accounting system.
- You will be required to assist with supplier statement reconciliations.
- You will be responsible for assisting as required with month and year end: accruals, prepayments and journals.
- You will support the annual audit process.
- You will undertake general daily admin and ad hoc support.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Working knowledge of finance processes and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Able to take the initiative, using time efficiently in order to meet deadlines effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail with an emphasis accuracy and deadlines that belong to others.
- Aptitude to identify methods for improving own activities and processes.
- Good IT skills in Word/Excel and Outlook.
