Job Description

Photon Energy is a global renewable energy company with a strong focus on solar energy. We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join our team in Hungary. The successful candidate will provide support in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to PV power plant maintenance, collaborate with the Technical Manager and control operators, and supervise and provide support during the construction of Photon Energy’s PV power plants in Hungary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing support in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to PV power plant maintenance
  • Collaborating with Technical Manager and control operators
  • Preparation of reports
  • Providing occasional on-call service during national holidays and weekends (according to preliminary scheduling)
  • Supervising and providing support during the construction of Photon Energy’s PV power plants in Hungary
  • Collaborating with local service partners and subcontractors, manufacturers and distribution companies
  • Participating in the internal provision of workplace health and safety practices
  • Maintaining quality and contractual compliance while delivering service reports to customers and clients
  • Attending occasional business trips throughout Hungary whenever necessary

Qualifications and Experience

  • Electrician or electrotechnical experience
  • 22kV substation switching authorisation (substation operator)
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office
  • Category B driving license
  • Fluent in Hungarian
  • Communicative level of English (B1)
  • Ability to work well independently
  • Organisational skills
