Job Description
The Corporate Finance Analyst will play a critical role in supporting d.light’s fundraising, financial modeling, and strategic finance efforts. The analyst will be responsible for maintaining and refining financial models, assisting in capital-raising initiatives, conducting macroeconomic research and analysis, preparing investor presentations, and supporting financial decision-making across the organization. This role offers exposure to structured finance transactions, equity and debt capital markets, and corporate financial strategy. It is ideal for a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual looking to build expertise in corporate finance within a dynamic, high-growth, and impact-driven company.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Financial Modeling & Analysis
- Conducting macroeconomic research and maintaining up-to-date financial model assumptions.
- Develop and maintain robust financial models to support fundraising, strategic planning, and investment decisions.
- Perform scenario analysis, sensitivity testing, and stress testing to assess financial risks and opportunities.
- Support the preparation of financial forecasts and valuation models for strategic initiatives.
- Tracking the actual business outcomes and rolling forecasts against the medium and long-term strategic objectives and highlighting any potential adverse deviations for timely corrective action.
- Fundraising & Capital Markets Support
- Assist in the execution of fundraising activities, including debt and equity transactions.
- Prepare investor presentations, investment memorandums, and due diligence materials.
- Support engagement with lenders, investors, and financial institutions by providing financial data and analysis. Liquidity & Treasury Management.
- Liquidity & Treasury Management
- Support cash flow forecasting and liquidity management to ensure the company maintains adequate funding for operations.
- Assist in optimizing working capital and monitoring key liquidity ratios.
- Track financial covenant compliance and debt obligations. Strategic Finance & Decision Support.
- Strategic Finance & Decision Support
- Provide analytical support for strategic initiatives, partnerships, and capital allocation decisions.
- Conduct competitive benchmarking and market research to inform financial strategy.
- Assist in financial risk assessment, including foreign exchange and interest rate exposure.
- Investor & Lender Relations
- Prepare regular reports, presentations, and dashboards for investors and financial partners.
- Support investor and lender meetings by compiling key financial insights and performance metrics.
- Monitor industry trends and investor sentiment to enhance fundraising strategies.
- Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements related to funding agreements.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and board presentations.
- Work closely with the finance and accounting teams to ensure accuracy in financial data and reporting.
Requirements
Desired Skills and Experience
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CFA/CPA/ACCA/CA or equivalent qualification.
Professional Experience:
- 2-4 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, financial advisory, or a related field.
- Strong experience in financial modeling, valuation, and corporate finance principles.
- Exposure to capital raising, structured finance, or financial planning & analysis (FP&A) is a plus.
- Experience working with international investors or financial institutions is an advantage.
Key Competencies:
- Deep understanding of financial statements - knowledge of accounting principles and ability to interpret financial statements and draw key insights from them.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills - ability to build, interpret, and optimize financial models.
- Detail-oriented and structured approach to problem-solving - ability to synthesize complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills - ability to create compelling investor materials.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis tools - knowledge of financial databases (Bloomberg, Capital IQ) is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment - experience in emerging markets is an advantage.
- Team player with a proactive mindset - able to take ownership and work independently when required.
