We are seeking an experienced Investment Manager to join our Investment team where you will play a pivotal role in delivering on the strategic ambition to become a hybrid IPP

This role is critical in supporting the company’s growth by ensuring high quality investment processes and decisions, as well as managing project progress, risks and opportunities. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading project execution, driving investment strategies, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to optimize project economics and financing structures. Additionally, you will play an integral role as part of project teams supporting renewable assets through to construction and into operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Investments and project teams through late-stage development phase and realization to final investment decision.
  • Ensure best practice financial modelling of renewable energy projects, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with investment criteria.
  • Lead the preparation of investment memos and presentations for the executive team, board, and investment committees.
  • Support negotiations with lenders, investors, and off-takers
  • Work closely with the development, finance, and commercial teams to align investment strategies with corporate goals.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including financial institutions, advisors, and investors, to optimize financing solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with investment policies, financial regulations, and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in M&A/investments, financial modelling, or project finance within the energy or infrastructure sector.
  • Proven experience in financial modelling (Excel), discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, and sensitivity analysis.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to efficiently communicate complex financial concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Desirable:

  • Experience working within an IPP, utility, investment bank, or financial advisory firm focused on energy.
  • Familiarity with power purchase agreements (PPAs), regulatory frameworks, and energy market dynamics.
  • Knowledge of M&A transactions and corporate finance within the renewable energy sector.
